A fun time was had by all at the 2018 FPCE Parking Lot Picnic. It was an amazing day of food, fellowship and fun for the young and the young at heart. Jake’s Hot Dogs and the snow cone truck were a hit. The spirit friendly competition filled the air for the bingo, scavenger hunt and egg toss contests and the reviews coming for our host location, our very own parking lot, have been glowing. If you missed this year’s festivities, be sure to join us next summer.

In addition to the children of the art camp, we are also blessed to have the children and parents of the Little Sprouts Music Together program sharing our space. Throughout the year, if you have been here on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday morning, you may have heard little tots making wonderful music in one of the classrooms on our second floor. Little Sprouts, led by Brenna Wells, is a program that children from birth through kindergarten and their grownups to joyfully share songs, rhymes, movement, and instrument play, both in music class and in their daily lives. What a great Fourth Monday Book Group we had here at FPC this morning. Not only did we have an opportunity to gather and discuss the wonderful book, Sweet Home Alaska by Carole Dagg, we also had an opportunity to meet Carole Dagg in person and get a first-hand perspective of her work. Thanks to everyone who came out to participate. We look forward to our next Fourth Monday Book Group on April 25th when we’ll discuss the book, Packing for Mars: The Curious Science of Life in the Void by Mary Roach. See you there.
